Karlie Kloss is an American model and a Victoria’s Secret Angel who has combined her love for cooking and interest in nutrition by partnering up with Christina Tosi, owner and founder of Momofuku Milk Bar, to create Karlie’s Kookies.
A portion of the proceeds from each sale of cookies is donated to FEED Projects, a foundation that supports programs and organizations in the fight to end hunger and malnutrition, according to a Momofuku Milk Bar news release. Through the sales of Karlie’s Kookies, they have been able to donate 524,295 nutritious meals as of September 10.
Two kinds of Karlie’s Kookies are available for purchase: The 5boro kookie and the Perfect 10 kookie according to the Momofuku Milk Bar press release. The cookies are sold by the half dozen and each tin of cookies costs $22. Each tin of 5boro kookies sold provides 30 meals to hungry New Yorkers while each tin of Perfect 10 kookies sold provides 60 meals to hungry children throughout the world.
The ingredients for the 5boro kookie are cocoa powder, almond flour, coconut purée, pineapple juice, mini chocolate chips, water, baking powder, cornstarch, salt. The ingredients for the Perfect 10 kookie are sweet agave almond flour, gluten-free oats, olive oil, slivered almonds, mini chocolate chips, agave, kosher salt, vanilla, baking powder, baking soda and cornstarch.
Both of Karlie’s Kookies are dairy-free and wheat-free making them healthy but tasty treats. The cookies are available for purchase at all five Momofuku Milk Bar locations in New York City and online http://www.milkbarstore.com for shipping worldwide.
